What is chiropractic care?
Chiropractic care is hands-on care for the spine, joints and muscles. A chiropractor looks for joints that are stuck or not moving well. An adjustment is a quick, controlled push by hand on 1 of those joints to help it move. The goal is less pain and easier movement.
Who may chiropractic care help?
People come to us for many reasons. These are the most common.
Many patients report feeling better and moving more easily. Results vary from person to person. The doctor uses your exam and X-rays to find out if your problem can be helped and to build your care plan.
What happens during a chiropractic visit?

Your plan may add other therapies, such as spinal decompression, hydro massage or stretches.

Contact usHow much does chiropractic care cost in Lancaster?
The only price we share online is the $37 new patient exam. Other services are not included in the $37 exam. The cost of follow-up care depends on what is going on with you, how much wear is in your spine, and which services fit your case. We give you exact costs as part of your care plan, in person, after your exam.
After your exam and X-rays, we go over a specific care plan with you at your next visit, usually 1 to 2 days later. We show you what any costs are, what your insurance covers and what your responsibility is, before any treatment begins. There are no surprises in our office. Most patients begin care at that visit. The $37 exam is not available to patients with government insurance such as Medicare or Medicaid. See all prices and insurance details.
Does insurance cover chiropractic care in Ohio?
Many health insurance plans cover chiropractic care. Sparks Family Chiropractic is in network with virtually every insurance company, and our front desk does the paperwork for you. We go over your coverage and costs with you after your exam and X-rays, as part of your care plan.

Questions about chiropractic care
Does a chiropractic adjustment hurt?
Most patients feel pressure during an adjustment and sometimes hear a pop. Some feel a little sore for a day, like after exercise. Tell the doctor if anything feels wrong.
What is the popping sound?
The pop is gas leaving the fluid inside a joint when it moves. It is normal and not a bone cracking.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on your problem, your age and your health. The doctor will give you a written care plan after your exam so you know what to expect.
Can children see a chiropractor?
Yes. Sparks Family Chiropractic sees children, teens and adults. The doctor uses gentler methods for children, and a parent or guardian comes to every visit for a child under 18.
